About Coach Mike Gentry
Coach Mike Gentry was directly responsible for the Virginia Tech Strength and Conditioning Program during the entire Frank Beamer era, 1987-2015. For the last 25 years of the Beamer at Virginia Tech, the Hokies:

- Cumulatively Ranked #9 Nationally for Total Wins and Losses, 221-95-1

- Competed in 23 Consecutive Bowl Games during the period, the 2nd longest streak in the Nation
